We continue with our journey through the six perfections, moving on from generosity to ethical conduct. In this perfection or paramita we are invited to consider the effects of our thoughts, our speech and our actions.
The basic principle of this perfection is to help others, to avoid being the cause of suffering, harm or distress to others, to cultivate positive mental states and qualities.
This is the paramita or perfection concerns moral discipline, moral sincerity or ethical clarity. Sometimes called right conduct. We are asked to think of the consequences of our thoughts, speech and actions.
