I have that back-to-school feeling, a sense of anticipation. Early autumn, with its ripening blackberries, abundant apples, conkers and just the glimmer of golden leaves is one of my favourite times of year. And my favourite time for cooking. Soups and stews and apple and blackberry crumbles. More on the oncoming autumn in a wabi sabi context in the next few Substack posts.

best time of the year for me, the light changes, days are now starting to become shorter...can't wait for cosy afternoons and evenings with cake and tea :)
